Drop Policy
The drop period for all undergraduate students, including those enrolled in Freshmen Connection, begins at the close of the schedule adjustment period and terminates at the end of the tenth week of classes (see dates below). During this period a student may drop a maximum of four credits (except for UNIV 100). Drops during this period will be recorded on the student’s permanent record (transcript) with a notation of “W”. This mark will not be used in the computation of a student’s cumulative grade point average.
Drop requests must be received in writing, reviewed and approved by the Freshmen Connection advisor. In addition to academic consequences, dropping a course can have serious effects for students, especially international students or students receiving financial assistance. It is the student’s responsibility to review these potential implications with the Freshmen Connection advisor before dropping a course.
