How to Enroll

Enrollment for Freshmen Connection is a four-step process:

1. Confirm Spring 2010 Admission to the University of Maryland

   You will receive information from Undergraduate Admissions on how to confirm your enrollment online.

   • Click here to confirm spring 2010 admission with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
      
2. Take the Math Placement Examination (MPE)

3. Complete the Freshmen Connection enrollment form

   Limited spaces are available. We recommend setting up an over-the-phone or in-person appointment by e-mailing fc@umd.edu. Please include your full name, UID, telephone number, and dates/times you are available.

   • Please Note: Enrollment forms will not be processed until we have verified that you have confirmed spring admission and the results of the on-line MPE have posted to your student record (48 hours after you have taken the on-line MPE).
      
4. Submit the Enrollment Form

   Mail or fax the completed and signed form to the address below:

Enrollment Deadlines

Enrollment forms accepted beginning March 11, 2009
Enrollment forms processed beginning March 25, 2009
Enrollment deadline for best consideration May 14, 2009

Early enrollment is recommended as program enrollment forms are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Select your courses, indicating a first and second preference; every effort will be made to enroll you in your first choice. Enrollment forms received after the program has filled will be placed on a waiting list.

Enrollment Confirmation

Students receive confirmation of enrollment in Freshmen Connection via e-mail approximately 10 days after their enrollment form has been reviewed, approved, and processed.

You must first confirm spring admission to the University of Maryland and take the on-line MPE before you submit your enrollment form.
