You’ll need to confirm admittance to the University of Maryland for fall 2009 or spring 2010 before you can register for Freshmen First. There is no separate application process.

You must confirm admittance to the University of Maryland for fall 2009 or spring 2010 before you can register for Freshmen First.

How to Register

Freshmen First is open to students who confirm admittance to Maryland for fall 2009 or spring 2010. Complete the Freshmen First registration form and make sure that you:

1. Select either the residential or commuter package.
2. Select up to three courses, indicating a first, second, and third choice; every effort will be made to enroll you in your first choice.
3. Mail or fax the completed and signed form to:

Deadlines

All course package registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. The last day to register is July 30, 2010.

Notification

Notification of your registration will be sent via e-mail or surface mail approximately 10 days after your registration form has been received and processed.

• Enrollment is limited; we encourage applicants to apply early.
• Courses in Freshmen First are part of the University’s Summer Term. These courses follow University policies and procedures and are subject to change. The University reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or for other reasons it deems necessary.
