Transferring UMD Credits Back to Your Home Institution

It is your responsibility to ensure that the courses you take at the University of Maryland are transferable and apply to your degree program at your home institution. It is advisable to get permission in writing from your home institution’s academic advisor prior to enrolling in Summer Term course work here. Please use the Permission to Transfer Credits Form if your home institution does not already have one. You will need to request an official transcript once your summer grades have been posted in order to have credits transferred to the home institution.
