Choose one of the following 3-credit CORE courses:

ARTT 150 Introduction to Art Theory

Examination of contemporary art; review of global, philosophic and critical positions by the examination of works of art. (CORE Code: HA - History or Theory of Arts)

CCJS 105 Introduction to Criminology

Criminal behavior and the methods of its study; causation; typologies of criminal acts and offenders; punishment, correction and incapacitation; prevention of crime. (CORE Code: SB-Social and Behavioral Science)

ENGL 222 American Literature–1865 to Present

Surveys American writing from the Civil War through the Cold War. Authors such as Clemens, Frost, Hurston, Bellow. (CORE Code: HL-Literature)

PSYC 100 Introduction to Psychology

A basic introductory course, intended to bring the student into contact with the major problems confronting psychology and the more important attempts at their solution. (CORE Code: SB-Social and Behavioral Science)

SOCY 100 Introduction to Sociology

The fundamental concepts and principles of sociology. Includes consideration of culture, patterns of social interaction, norms, values, social institutions, stratification, and social change. (CORE Code: SB-Social and Behavioral Science)
