Cancellation
Cancellation of Program Enrollment
Students who are accepted into the Young Scholars Program and decide not to attend prior to the first day of classes must cancel. Failure to cancel will result in a financial obligation to the University even though the student does not attend class.
Request for cancellation must be received in writing (via mail, e-mail, fax or in person) to:

Cancellation Deadlines
| June 27 | Last day to cancel registration for either the Residential Course Package or the Commuter Course Package with a 100% minus the non-refundable $205 application and deposit fee. After this date, there is no refund of the housing/meal/course and program activity portion of the Residential Course Package or Commuter Course Package. |
| July 11 | Last day to cancel course registration with a refund of 100% of tuition and mandatory fees only. After this date, students may only withdraw and only the tuition and mandatory fee is refunded on a prorated basis. |
Cancellation of Courses by the University of Maryland
The University reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment, or for other reasons that it deems valid. Appropriate refunds will be made. In the event of cancellation, we will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner to ensure that your decision whether to remain in the program and elect to enroll in another course is made with sufficient consideration.
