Withdrawal
Withdrawal from Program
Students may request a withdrawal from the University of Maryland’s Young Scholars Program once the program and classes begin. If you choose to withdraw from the program, a statement indicating such will be recorded on your final transcript. Withdrawal from the program becomes effective on the date that the request is filed. Withdrawal requests must be received in writing, reviewed, and approved by the Office of Extended Studies. A withdrawal statement and the effective date will be recorded on the student’s final transcript. Click here to access information on the University’s withdrawal policy.

Withdrawal Deadlines
| July 16 | Last day to withdraw with a 50% refund of tuition and mandatory fees. After this date, there is no refund of tuition and mandatory fees. |
| July 24 | Last day to withdraw. |
