Cancellation of Winter Term Registration by the Student

Students who register and later decide not to attend the University for Winter Term must cancel their registration prior to the first day of classes in order to receive a 100% refund. Cancellation requests must be received in writing via email at winter@umd.edu or fax at 301-314-1282. Click here to access additional contact information.

Failure to cancel registration will result in financial obligation to the University even though the student does not attend class.

Any student registered for one or more Winter Term courses and who cancels registration either on or after the first day of classes must withdraw.
